If you visit Maui, you absolutely “must” travel the picturesque Road to Hana, and you should enjoy it in the comfort of a deluxe, air-conditioned, smooth riding minibus with a professional driver. We provide the best way to fully experience the incredible 620 curves and beautiful 59 single-lane bridges along the way. We will make stops along the way at some of the most well-known locations, including a conditions-permitting waterfall swim stop. And the exclusive lunch is the best in Hana. We’ve shared the Road to Hana with tens of thousands of guests over the decades and would love to have you join us.

Tour Highlights:
- Breakfast, enjoy a light continental, “to go” breakfast before starting your journey.
- Pa’ia Town, laid back “windsurfing capital of the world”, with its boutiques and restaurants is driven through as you travel eastward toward Hana.
- Ke’anae Peninsula was created by flowing lava and juts into the ocean, where waves crash against jagged volcanic rocks. Taro famers on the peninsula practice sustainable farming as did the ancient Hawaiians. The old stone church, the village’s only surviving structure after a 1946 tsunami hit.
- Lunch at Hana Farms (included) which is a tropical farm and marketplace located in the rainforest along Hana Highway.
- Wai’anapanapa State Park and Black Sand Beach hosts a lava tube, sea arches, blowhole, and a wonderful beach. Our guests rank it as one of the finest stops on the tour. Wai’anapanapa means “glistening water” in Hawaii and refers to nearby streams but can also apply to striking ocean views.
- Hana Bay is viewed while driving through Hana Town and some of the best views of the bay are from the road. A favorite beach area for local residents.
- Pua’a Ka’a State Park is an ideal spot to swim in a tranquil waterfall pool (weather/conditions permitting). Bring a towel and swimsuit.
- Ho’okipa Beach Park boasts big waves and plenty of windsurfers (drive-by for scenic views).
- Return is in reverse for a totally different perspective!
- Kaumahina State Park, engulfed by a dense forest, is a relaxing stop with awe-inspiring coastline views and refreshing, cool ocean breezes.

Recommendations:
- Please wear comfortable attire and shoes. Many tours traverse uneven walking surfaces.
- Sturdy, closed-toe shoes are recommended.
- Bring a light sweater or jacket.
- Bring along a bathing suit and towel if you’d like to swim in a waterfall pool, conditions permitting.
Restrictions/Requirements:
- This tour is operated on rough and winding roads. It is NOT recommended for pregnant women or those with back or motion problems.
Location:
- Hotel pick-up is provided from major Maui hotels. We are not permitted to pick up in residential areas or at B&B’s. Enter the name of your hotel at the time of reservation.
- Through October 8, 2023, all pickups from hotels and lodging in the West Maui area will be consolidated to the centrally located Kahului Safeway on Ho’okele Street. Temporarily consolidating pickups will allow the West Maui community the time they need to heal and rebuild.

More Details:
The day’s adventure begins as your driver guide welcomes you aboard a mini coach. You’ll enjoy a slice of banana bread and learn of Waikiki’s colorful history as you depart for Pearl Harbor. Your guide’s live narration is complemented by historic images, and video shown on vehicle monitors.
You’ll visit the solemn USS Arizona Memorial directly above the USS Arizona battleship that sunk during the attack on December 7, 1941 and became the final resting place of many of the 1,177 officers and crewmen who were lost. It’s a powerful reminder of those who gave their lives for their country. You’ll view actual film footage of the attack, view Pearl Harbor Visitor Center displays, and gain firsthand insight into WWII in the Pacific and beyond.
Aboard the famed Battleship Missouri, you’ll walk in the footsteps of General Douglas MacArthur, Admiral Chester Nimitz, and officers of the Allied Powers in 1945 when the instruments of surrender were signed on the ship, signaling the end WWII. “Mighty Mo” valiantly fought in WWII, the Korean War and in Desert Storm in the Persian Gulf, supporting the cause of freedom.
Lunch is at Mangiamo by 604 where guests select from several delicious options. Please indicate any dietary restrictions – vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, nut-allergy, etc. at the time of booking, the menu selections are subject to change.
You’ll remember the sacrifices of America’s heroes as you ride through Punchbowl National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific. View ‘Iolani Palace, home of Hawaiian royalty, and visit the King Kamehameha Statue, and other sites before returning to Waikiki.
Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled departure time and allow a 5-minute window for your driver to arrive.
